What We’re Looking For

The VP Product and Engineering Quality Engineering (PEQ) is a leader adept in the Quality Engineering practices across the length and breadth of the Agile and Lean Software Engineering Development Cycles (SDLCs) and has demonstrated tangible results on implementing organization wide Quality initiatives across geographically distributed functional teams. The ideal candidate should have led Global Quality Engineering teams spread across different products and services portfolios.

It is desirable for the PEQ Leader to have experience / knowledge in the Ad Measurement space and the necessary compliance and regulatory requirements. 

As a member of the core management team, the successful candidate will develop, manage and implement organization wide Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Control (QA,M&C) strategies and processes to support continuous monitoring and improvement of our products and services portfolios for Functional and Non Functional Requirements, global accreditation and compliance requirements in Ad Tech Space, Privacy and Information Security requirements etc. in a manner that supports the accelerated and sustainable growth of the company.

QE&C Leader should communicate effectively with various Engineering, Product and Support teams and assist the organization in navigating emerging products and services in the Ad Measurement ecosystem and the required Privacy & Compliance requirements. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the Quality Assurance and Quality Monitoring Teams spread across geographical locations and periodically assess and lead continuous improvement initiatives w.r.t People, Project and Processes in these teams.

This leader is responsible for promoting a culture of “In-Phase Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Control” across SDLC phases,  compliance to regulations, accreditation requirements, standards, and procedures and risk management that extends beyond the Compliance team through to the entire organization. The candidate is able to provide timely execution, strategic guidance and balanced risk-based decision making regarding the Quality Management and Monitoring Systems  and have a keen eye to identify the root causes of product issues, complaints and the end customer feedback and establish frameworks for detection and prevention of core issues.

Primary Responsibilities : 

•         Quality Engineering Practices
• Work with DV’s leadership team to lay out Quality Vision and Mission Statements thereby have a definitive plan / roadmap for the Quality practices.
• Work with Product Teams to understand the product and services portfolio and define the systematic Test Analysis and Design Techniques, Requirements Quality Assessment processes & metrics and Post Production Monitoring Metrics and Solutions.
• Should lead as a solution architect to Design and Develop the Automated Testing solutions on the User Interfaces, Exposed Web Services, Data Flow Pipelines, Data Quality Assessments and Discrepancy check frameworks / solutions on the complex ETL processes
• Work with all the Engineering teams to understand the current quality engineering and monitoring practices and focus on continuous improvement of the same.
• Work with Support teams to understand the current issues from End Customers, Issues from Systems Monitoring, Internal Defects Data from SDLC Phases and improve the existing processes and practices to continuously improve on defects detection and defect prevention solutions in the system
• Should work closely with the Dev-Ops and Tech-Ops teams to define and implement Testing Infrastructure and Solutions as integral part of the SDLC Pipelines to ensure “Quality is in-built” across all phases of the Engineering Lifecycle. 
• Work with different vendors / off-shore partners & teams to effectively and efficiently deliver the commitments on the Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Control solutions

   Quality Systems: 

•         Should have demonstrated leadership and solution architecture capabilities in development of End to End Integrated Automated test solutions for :
• User Interface Automated Test Solutions for Desktop & Mobile Web, Mobile In-App, CTT / OTT Applications
• Web Services 
• Stream Processing Pipelines
• Analytics and Reporting
• Quality Systems Monitoring and Defects Detection
• DFx Requirements focusing on Performance, Reliability, Scalability, Security etc.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Work with Product Managers to ensure the quality aspects are met when defining the requirements in terms of User Experience, Data Quality standards, Reporting requirements etc.
• Support the Engineering leaders to define and implement quality control mechanisms at source in the Architecture, Design, Coding and Unit Testing(CUT) phases
• Define monitoring metrics / KPIs and work with Devops, Techops and Support teams in implementing the same in CI / CD pipelines with an objective of Continuous Monitoring, Defects Isolation and Resolutions. 

Core Competencies, Skills And Experience Requirements

•         Minimum 15+ years of Quality Engineering experience spanning around Assessment of Quality Processes and Compliance Frameworks
•         Should have demonstrated experience in Setting up and Leading Quality Engineering Organizations at scale of 25-50 personnel.
•         Ability to define Agile and Lean Quality Processes to support various SDLC models by assessing the existing Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Control systems and continuous improvement on the same.
•         Minimum 7+ years in a leadership capacity.
•         Proven, recent corporate leadership experience within large, matrixed, technology and/or Ad Tech or Ad Measurement companies.
•         Should have led the development of Automated Functional and Non-Functional Test Solutions to aid the Detection of issues and non-compliances for Data Intensive products and solutions with focus on User Experience, Web Services, Complex Stream processing Pipelines, Data Warehouse, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence reporting solutions.
•         Desirable to have exposure to the Digital Ad Tech Ecosystem, Ad Measurement in particular with a knowledge of the various standards from IAB and MRC Accreditation requirements. 
•         Experience in leading the organizations on any of CMMi, TMMi, Six Sigma, ISO 9001 would be an added advantage.

What you will do

• Recruit and lead a team of quality engineers including testers, test automation engineers and monitoring automation engineers
• Work with product and engineering leadership to define Quality Assurance and Control mechanisms requirements
• Define QA&C KPIs, integrate tools that quantitatively measure them and allow stakeholders to track them effectively.
• Promote testing and monitoring throughout the development process by defining guidelines, providing training and mentoring in accordance with the QA&C requirements
• Perform periodic audits as well as monkey testing DV’s systems
• Maintain documentation of risks, potential fail points and weaknesses analysis.
• Design, build and own end-to-end, black-box integration level testing framework
• Provide tools, templates and best-practices for automated testing and train developers on using them

Your Required Qualifications

• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of QA concepts and methodologies in small-to-medium internet companies
• 5+ years in developing software and proven experience identifying and implementing automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience working with SaaS systems in a CI/CD environment
• Experience in engaging with stakeholders to set and drive quality assurance goals and KPIs that track progress towards them
• Team leadership and mentoring experience
• Excellent English

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV.
The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between [$229,000- $350,000. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
