π A Bit About Us
We're Doccla, and we're redefining where and how healthcare is delivered.
Our Virtual Ward, Remote Monitoring and Proactive Care solutions enable hospitals and health systems to care for patients at home. We support patients across the full care journey, from early discharge and acute recovery to long-term condition management and proactive care.
We provide everything clinicians need to deliver safe, effective Virtual Care: medical-grade devices, logistics, patient onboarding, EHR integration, and an end-to-end clinical platform built around real-world workflows.
We currently work with over 60% of NHS ICBs and support health systems across the UK, Ireland and the DACH region to reduce hospital pressure, improve outcomes, and create a more resilient model of care.
We're backed by top European investors, having secured Β£35m in Series B funding led by Lakestar, with participation from Elaia, General Catalyst, Speedinvest, and Bertelsmann.
π Why Join Us?
This is your chance to join Doccla at a key stage in our growth.
We're building the category leader in Virtual Care and Remote Patient Monitoring. You'll be part of a highly entrepreneurial, mission-driven team that combines expertise across clinical, technical, commercial, and operational domains.
We're solving real problems for patients and health systems, and growing fast. We are scaling and the trajectory is steep. Steep is where careers are made.
π§ββοΈ What You'll Do as a Senior Product Manager
The mission
Get every eligible patient started, and keep them in interactions worth having. Our patients are often older, frequently unwell, and many have never used an app. The industry answer is a better onboarding flow. That does not work here. Your job is to find what does.
Doing it once is a campaign. Doing it for tens of thousands of patients, across every channel and condition, in every health system we work with, is a systems problem. Nobody has solved it, and it decides whether any of this scales.
If patients do not engage, nothing downstream works. Engagement is how the service delivers results and how we prove them to NHS clients and commissioners.
What you'll own
The patient journey end to end, from eligibility list to sustained engagement - plus the care team tooling that enables it
Multi-channel campaigns: SMS, app, web, letter, voice, human
The platform that runs them: how Doccla tracks any patient through any multi-step journey, and knows where every one of them has got to - including the build or buy call
The path from hardcoded to agentic: designing today's flows so that tomorrow an agent can run them
How the PM role is changing here
The job is not what it was three years ago. You will not be expected to ship code. Everything else is in scope.
Market engagement, user research, prototyping and testing ideas, generating production-level designs, deep data analysis, building and running evals, regulatory pathways, enabling and tracking delivery, testing, go-live plans, product marketing.
We are looking for expert generalists. People who spot a gap and step into it rather than waiting for the right function to exist. People who instinctively reach for AI to assist them, and who have the critical judgement not to accept its first answer.
What you'll do
The parts that are specific to this role
Design for the digitally excluded
Listen to real calls, sit with patients, talk to the HCAs and clinicians who care for them. Then design engagement that meets them where they are, not where a product manager would like them to be. The hardest patients to reach have the most to gain.
Run experiments at service scale
Channel, timing, wording, sequencing. Design experiments that produce a real signal across thousands of patients, and kill your own ideas when the data says so. Most of the early ones need no engineering at all.
Build the orchestration layer
Our patient journeys live in hardcoded logic and third party tools. You will replace that with one way to model, run and track any multi-step patient journey. It becomes the foundation other teams build on, and it is the largest greenfield problem in the company.
Make it configurable
Every client, condition and patient segment wants something different, and the people who know what they want sit in operations, not engineering. Design for them to change it themselves, safely, without a release.
Design for agents, not just for people
Today a person or deterministic rule decides who to call and when. Soon, an agent will read a patient's situation and work it out.
Whether that is possible is decided now, by how the platform is built. Steps need machine-readable inputs and success criteria. Capabilities need to be callable tools, not buttons on a screen. Every action needs a reversal path, and every decision needs to be reconstructable years later.
Then the hard part: what an agent may decide alone, what it may only propose, and what it must never touch. In a regulated care service that is a clinical safety question before a technical one, and you own where each line sits.
Navigate the regulatory landscape
Doccla is a CQC registered care provider and medical device manufacturer. Some of what you build sits inside the medical device and some outside. Where you draw that line is a product decision, not one you hand to a compliance team. Prior experience is useful but not required. Learning it here is non-negotiable.
Orchestrate across a live service
Changes land in a running care service with patients, clinicians and clients depending on it. Sequence them so it keeps working while it improves.
The parts we'd expect of any senior PM
Own outcomes. Define, track and own your metrics and KRs. Accountable for whether the number moves.
Frame problems. Root cause first, and problem statements sharp enough to know when they are solved.
Set the focus. Right bets, tight roadmap, say no clearly and often.
Lead discovery. Time boxed, ending in decisions rather than a document.
Enable delivery. Go beyond the role to get things shipped and live with real users.
Generate insights. Evaluate impact after the fact and let it shape what comes next.
Partner with engineers. In early, not at handover. Shape work clearly, then get out of the way.
Communicate. Clearly, to all stakeholders, continuously.
