Purpose of Job:

Divergent Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our growing organization. In this position, you will be responsible for extensive programmatic quality-related functions focused on all stages of a program’s lifecycle. This position requires a problem solver with extensive knowledge in root cause analysis, adept at identifying and addressing issues to prevent recurrence and ensure product integrity. The candidate must adapt quickly to the fast-paced evolution of additive manufacturing, engaging in continuous learning to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.

The Senior Quality Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting various customer deliverables throughout the program's lifecycle. This position ensures that all quality requirements are met by closely engaging with customers, assessing customer flow down and requirements, and effectively ensuring compliance and feasibility. The Senior Quality Engineer will implement and improve quality processes, lead qualification efforts for materials, machines, and applications, and address any quality-related issues that arise during the program. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, the Senior Quality Engineer will maintain a high level of product quality and customer satisfaction, ensuring continuous production and adherence to stringent industry standards.


Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:

1)Serve as a Program Quality Engineer (PQE), supporting various customer deliverables throughout the program's lifecycle, ensuring total alignment with quality objectives and timelines.
2)Drive effective flow-down and implementation of quality requirements throughout the cross-functional teams and processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and standards.
3)Provide expert input on quality elements during the product development phase gate process, proactively engaging to ensure quality is built into the product from the start.
4)Identify and implement quality improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product reliability.
5)Lead complex root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
6)Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Quality (DFQ) analyses to optimize production processes.
7)Support the development and implementation of advanced product quality planning, including quality control plans, process flow maps, PFMEA, and PPAP.
8)Perform comprehensive quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
9)Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues, improve material quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
10)Implement and maintain advanced statistical process control (SPC) and other cutting-edge quality control methodologies.
11)Lead rigorous qualification efforts for introducing or changing materials, machines, and applications to meet stringent industry and customer standards.
12)Manage supplier quality issues, including conducting supplier audits and resolving quality issues related to customer programs.
13)Champion the implementation of next-level quality strategies and innovation within the organization.
Requirements:

•Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or closely related fields.
•Minimum 7 years of direct experience in quality engineering managing multiple programs of varying complexity
•Experience in additive manufacturing is a plus.
•Exceptional skills in data analysis and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
•Demonstrated expertise in conducting detailed root cause analysis and developing effective preventative strategies.
•Proven track record in managing delta qualifications and ensuring product quality amidst changes.
•Strong communication skills, adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading through influence.
•Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
