Lead CAD Engineer

 

Purpose of Job: 

Enable the Mechanical Engineering team to extract maximum value from Siemens NX and Teamcenter.

Qualifications:

•5+ years of Siemens NX CAD/Design experience

•3+ years experience using Teamcenter

•Experience designing and managing large CAD assemblies and associated drawings.

•Experience working in aerospace or capital equipment design.

•Demonstrated development and configuration management experience on technically complex hardware products.

Responsibilities:

•Ownership of system level BOM, CAD assembly, and configurations.

•Ownership of NX model and drawing templates.

•Ownership of modeling and drafting standards and mentorship of team to advance best practice and upskill the team.

•Interface with Teamcenter admin to create workflows, system changes, and training materials to enable the team. 

•Make suggestions and recommendations for improvements, including changes to workflow.

•Interface with third-party vendors to address escalated issues and problems.

•Work with Responsible Engineers to design components or modify existing designs.

•Provide drafting support as needed. 

•Participate in assembly, commissioning, and development of new systems as needed. 

Work Environment:

Office, laboratory, light manufacturing

Education:

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
