What We Are Looking For: At Distyl we’re bringing AI to the F500 and deliver novel and delightful user experiences. We’re looking for experienced Front End Engineers who are excited to define the future of work with a focus on human value. You will build the UI/UX patterns in which AI is deployed and used by the world’s most important institutions.

Success at Distyl requires an obsessiveness about the user’s experience with our product and a drive to deliver great software. As an early member of our FE engineering team, your day to day will vary from writing code, collaborating with product and design on defining our products, and building core engineering infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Building Enterprise Grade Frontend Applications: You will collaborate closely with the rest of our team to deliver high quality frontend applications.

  2. Solution Design: Collaborate closely Distyl AI Strategists to deeply understand customer’s workflows and design tailored AI solutions.

  3. End-to-End Software Ownership: Take charge of the entire software lifecycle, from service development to deploying them in customer cloud environments.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Coding Skills: Strong command of frontend development using React/TypeScript is essential. Backend experience in Python is beneficial and experience with AI/ML is helpful.

  • User Empathy and Customer Focus: A deep sense of user empathy and a customer-obsessed approach, ensuring that solutions are not only technically sound but also closely aligned with customer needs and experiences.

  • An Eye for Design: We often build before pixel perfect mocks are built, being able to make a reasonable design choice within the design system is key.

  • Software Architecture: Demonstrated ability in architecting front end applications for change is critical.

Interview Process:

  • As a first step, you’ll be invited to a coding screen where you’ll add features to a React and TypeScript application.

  • As a second step, you’ll meet with members of the founding team to discuss your background and goals

  • As a final step, you’ll meet with our CEO

Note: Distyl is a hybrid working environment and requires in office collaboration 3 days a week. We have offices in SF and NYC
