About the SRE role
We are looking for a talented and experienced SRE with expertise in Database performance tuning to join our growing team. You will work on developing scalable and high-quality web applications that enhance user experience while solving complex business problems. As a SRE engineer, you will be involved in backend development, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyse DB performance and perform tuning.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Participate in the incident response and management for the products and services that Disprz supports. This involves triaging issues, improving MTTD and reducing MTTR.
Staying up to date on latest and emerging technologies in Devops and SRE functions and helping pilot them in the team.
Identify opportunities to partner to build self healing systems and auto scaling systems.
Partner with the security and compliance team to implement best practices.
Collaborate with the leadership team in implementing team goals and OKRs to measure operational excellence.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a Site reliability engineer with some experience in database performance optimisation.
Expertise in Azure SQL SB, Postgres is required.
Experience in NoSQL DBs are a plus
Experience in database administration tasks such as backup, recovery, security, performance tuning and profiling.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools, source version control tools.
Experience in cloud environments of Azure, AWS, GCP
Proficiency in using common Linux commands and tools for system administration.
Experience in using monitoring, logging and telemetry tools such as Azure application insights, Grafana etc.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Any cloud certifications are a plus
