Disney Consumer Products is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that extends the Disney brand to merchandise ranging from apparel, toys, home décor and books to interactive games, movies, food, beverages, stationery and electronics. Overall, the Manager, Retail Marketing will have responsibility for the ideation, implementation and execution of marketing programs for the Walmart US account and Sam’s Club account.

This role reports to the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing.

This is a 12-Month Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for building and driving retail marketing programs and ensuring they are implemented across digital, social, and physical marketing channels to achieve organizational objectives for market share, volume, revenue, operating income, and brand awareness.
  • Guide the tactical execution of marketing programs based on retailers' core strengths and needs to increase business, ensuring all deadlines and brand guidelines are met and creative consistency throughout all program elements.
  • Implement an end-to-end process for Influencer and social campaigns, including product prioritization, sample coordination, and collaboration with various parties.
  • Complete campaign activities within agreed timeframes at the agreed-upon quality levels and provide feedback and insights on campaign effectiveness. Provide insights on historical campaign performance and customer behavior to influence future campaign strategy.
  • Solicit cost estimates for best pricing on all marketing elements, ensuring all quality guidelines are met.
  • Write and submit retail creative briefs, providing retailer insights to the retail creative team/agency for the development of retailer programs.
  • Establish strong working relationships with retailer marketing managers, visual merchandising managers, site managers, media managers, key internal partners, agencies, and suppliers.
  • Seek out knowledge of competitive retailer program execution, recap, and bring findings/learning back to the team.
  • Advise on and partner with various internal teams to improve processes, find opportunities, and scale standard methodology, driving continual assessment and improvement of marketing execution.
  • Manage media P&P budget across retailer marketing initiatives.
  • Manage key promotional deliverables for all internal & external parties to deliver on-time, cost-efficient programs.
  • Responsible for consistently communicating all account activities, concerns, and potential elevation of issues to Senior Manager, Retail Marketing.
  • Responsible for retail marketing program recaps to necessary leaders, inclusive of coordinating across the team.
  • Position resides in Bentonville, AR.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experienced decision maker & manager of marketing program strategy, planning, and operations.
  • Experienced & compelling storyteller/presenter to large groups & executives.
  • 5+ years of Retail Marketing experience and industry knowledge.
  • 2+ years of agency experience desirable.
  • 3+ years of Walmart/Sam’s Club and/or Disney experience desirable.
  • Use data and insights to make informed and impactful decisions and have the acumen to translate complex data into actions and improvements.
  • Have an incredible focus on operational excellence and getting the fundamentals right to find opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
  • Believe in and prioritize the team's collective success. Be quick to jump in, help, mentor, and coach your fellow team members.
  • Experience operationalizing processes, optimizing campaigns, and finding actionable insights from prospect and customer behavior is critical.
  • Have experience in multiple facets of digital marketing.

  • Leadership skills to motivate team members and manage conflicts.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills for coming up with ideas to increase demand for products and services.
  • Mac & Keynote proficiency is a requirement
  • Working knowledge of basic Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Excel, and Word needed.

Education:

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or related field preferred.
