About the Role:

The Mgr-Architecture and Integration is a leadership role within Disney Experiences, responsible for overseeing a portfolio of technical facilities projects that support our theme parks, resorts, cruise, retail, and other guest-facing environments. This leader provides direction to professional staff in engineering and architecture, ensuring that project delivery strategies, standards, and resources align with Disney's guest-focused mission and long-term portfolio health.

This position will report to the Senior Manager-Design Integration.

Responsibilities:

This role leads a team of professionals who are responsible for technical project delivery across an integrated facilities portfolio, including design oversight, construction administration, and turnover to sustainment for complex, multi-disciplinary refurbishments and capital projects. The Mgr-Architecture & Integration sets priorities, allocates resources, and partners with the other FAM Design leaders and regulatory stakeholders to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards while supporting the strategic needs of Disney Experiences. Success in this role requires a knowledgeable specialist and strategic leader who can mentor others, collaborate across disciplines, and manage a diverse portfolio of work.

• Shape future possibilities for the facilities portfolio through direct technical involvement, strategic thinking, and innovation. Identify emerging opportunities, influence long-term planning efforts, and help translate vision into practical project delivery strategies that enhance guest experiences, operational performance, and asset reliability.
• Coordinate and align project plans and priorities across departments by actively partnering with engineering, architecture, operations, sustainment, and project delivery teams. Help balance workload, resource demands, schedules, and technical priorities across organizations, ensuring work is distributed effectively and aligned with business objectives.
• Build strong partnerships and serve as a trusted advisor to internal clients, global engineering teams, consultants, and regulatory agencies. Foster collaboration, facilitate problem-solving, and leverage relationships to advance complex projects and organizational initiatives.
• Lead through influence and mentorship by sharing technical expertise, providing constructive feedback, coaching peers and junior professionals, and helping others navigate challenges while modeling accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
• Support portfolio planning, prioritization, and workload management by providing technical insight, identifying emerging resource constraints, and collaborating with partner organizations to balance work assignments, optimize team capacity, and address changing business needs.
• Advance organizational capability through knowledge sharing and development by contributing to onboarding efforts, facilitating technical training, promoting best practices, and creating opportunities for professional and technical growth across disciplines.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership to ensure projects comply with company standards, design guidelines, customer requirements, safety protocols, and applicable codes and regulations. Assist project teams in resolving complex technical, permitting, and operational challenges.
• Partner directly with project teams and consultants during design and construction to provide technical guidance, support quality outcomes, resolve field issues, and maintain alignment with project objectives, contract requirements, and operational expectations.
• Champion effective project closeout and transition to sustainment by helping establish consistent turnover practices, supporting documentation and warranty coordination, ensuring asset information is maintained, and facilitating knowledge transfer to operations and maintenance partners.
• Model Disney values through daily actions and interactions by encouraging creative problem-solving, fostering collaboration across departments, ensuring diverse perspectives are considered, demonstrating care and respect for others, and helping create an inclusive environment where teams can succeed together.
• Serves as a senior technical leader who combines hands-on project execution with mentorship, collaboration, and organizational influence. Contributes directly to complex project delivery while helping balance workload and priorities across multiple departments, developing technical capability in others, and fostering alignment between business objectives, operational needs, and long-term facility strategies.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer (PE) with eligibility for practice in Florida or reciprocity to Florida.
• 10+ years of professional experience in a multi-discipline architecture/engineering environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical delivery of complex facilities or construction projects, balancing priorities, resources, and stakeholder expectations in dynamic, reactive environments.
• Knowledge and competence in safety procedures and protocols applicable to facilities and construction environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design and modeling tools such as Autodesk Revit and related applications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical peers and executives, and to present program status and decisions to senior leadership.
• Proven track record in team building, mentorship, and leading high-performing, diverse teams in a collaborative, service-minded environment.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in a relevant field such as Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or MBA.
• Five years of experience leading project or organizational teams consisting of salaried direct reports.
• Experience in themed entertainment, hospitality, or complex campus facilities environments, integrating multi-discipline design and operations teams.
• Active participation in professional organizations related to architecture, engineering, or facilities management to stay current with industry trends and best practices.

The hiring range for this position in Florida is $120,800.00-$161,900.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographicregion, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
