JOB SUMMARY:
In this role, you'll be responsible for building and managing the next generation of Hotstar's SDLC ecosystem. You'll collaborate with engineering teams across the organization to solve complex problems by developing reusable, testable, and extensible solutions. 

ABOUT THE TEAM: 
The Cloud Engineering Team at Hotstar builds scalable, efficient, and monitored infrastructure platforms. We also implement robust CI/CD pipelines, frameworks, and observability tools. These efforts enhance the Developer Experience and accelerate the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.

REPORTING TO: Engineering Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with application teams to deliver robust and traceable deployment tools and controls
  • Champion the adoption of organizational standards for hygiene, scale, and security compliance across functional teams
  • Develop and maintain a robust SDLC ecosystem and tools to empower individual application teams
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of organizational standards through code, design, and insightful input
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to SDLC practices, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and solve complex technical issues throughout the SDLC process

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • Experience with a variety of CI/CD tools and processes for both backend and client-side applications
  • Expertise in container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Proficient in Kubernetes, Canary/Blue-Green deployments, traffic routing strategies, and integration with multiple testing frameworks
  • Expertise with Terraform, including managing it at scale for large organizations with multiple teams
  • Experience with a major cloud provider (AWS preferred) and its core services
  • Experience with scripting or programming using a high-level language

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Tech, B.E., or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field from a reputable university. 2-4 years of experience in CI/CD, infrastructure automation, or a combination of both
