By applying to this Software Engineering internship, you will be considered for opportunities across multiple teams and projects with the Enterprise Technology segment with locations in Orlando, FL and Burbank, CA. What You Will Do
Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.
May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
Conceive, design, develop, test, and implement software components, fixes, enhancements, and/or new systems and applications.
Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experiences.
Develop competence by performing structured work assignments.
Analyze information and standard practices to make judgments.
Receive instruction, guidance and direction from others.
Be accountable for developing technical contribution to team.
Exchange straightforward information, ask questions and check for understanding.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Some technical proficiency with one or more of: Python, NodeJS, Java, Go, Jira, Confluence
A basic understanding of software engineering practices
An understanding of data structures and algorithms
An understanding of database systems
An understanding of automation tools
Experience with web application development
AngularJS or React experience
Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or Kanban
Education
Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study.
Program Details
Location: Orlando, FL or Burbank, CA
Program Length: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks)
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
Eligibility Requirements
At the time of application:
Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Must be at least 18 years old
Must possess unrestricted work authorization and provide full availability for the entire program duration.
Must be able to provide your own housing and transportation during the internship.
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.
