Job Description:

Sr, Associate Application Engineer (Service Now) works in team environment and is responsible for assisting with analyzing, designing, programming, testing and deploying new user stories and new features and moving implementation of products assigned to team from idea to production

• Utilize Discover’s Agile Way of Working, and assist with developing and configuring solutions within ServiceNow in partnership with rest of engineering team and Product Owner
• Attend Agile ceremonies and participate to ensure work is getting completed the right way
• Propose opportunities to solve business problems and for inefficiencies using your knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform
• Participate in various activities attended by team including but not limited to: ServiceNow Engineering Chapter; Continuous Professional Education; Discover Technology Academy
• Participate in rotating Incident Management and Consumer Service support schedule
• Assist team with analyzing, designing, programming, testing and deploying new user stories and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) all the way to production 
• Participate in achieving achieving team commitments and influence others to do the same
• Remediate issues using engineering principles and escalate risk and customer impacting issues to management

Minimum Qualifications - At a minimum, here’s what we need from you: 

• Bachelors – Computer Science or related
• 3+ Years – Information Technology, (Software) Engineering, or related 
• Internal applicants: Technical proficiency rating of competent on Dreyfus engineering scale 

Preferred Qualifications - Bonus points if you have:

• Experience implementing two or more of the following ServiceNow capabilities: IRM/GRC; ITSM; Performance Analytics; Security Operations; Vulnerability Management; Configuration Management; Software Asset Management; Service Mapping; Discovery; HR Service Delivery; Employee Service Center; Virtual Agent; Orchestration; Integration Hub; Integrated Risk Management/Governance, Risk, & Control; UI Builder/App Engine.
• Hold one or more of following certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer; ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist GRC (Risk & Compliance); ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist IT Service Management; Certified System Administrator; Certified Implementer and/or other ServiceNow Certifications
• Knowledge of Angular, React, Redux, and Java application frameworks
• Experience assisting with build of secure Web applications with user authentication
• Understand software testing principles and methodologies
• Experience in GRC, IRM is a strong plus.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $71,500.00 to $121,100.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
