Workplace Operations Program Manager

Our Workplace team keeps Discord's offices running — and running well. We're the people who make sure the physical space, the vendors, the events, and the day-to-day details all add up to somewhere people genuinely want to show up. This role is equal parts operational excellence and people-first thinking: one day you're auditing a janitorial vendor's SLA, the next you're planning a Game Night or making sure the flu shot clinic goes off without a hitch. It's a role for someone who finds real satisfaction in the details nobody else notices until they're missing.

This person will report to the Sr. Director, Workplace.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own day-to-day office operations — kitchens, common areas, supplies, mailroom, reception, and vendor-provided services like catering, snacks, and beverages
• Manage vendor relationships across facilities, janitorial, and building services, holding partners accountable to SLAs and budget
• Own the desk residency program — space allocation, team seating, and day-to-day tracking
• Design and run employee engagement and recognition programs (events, Game Nights, wellness programs like yoga and flu shots) that reflect Discord's culture
• Manage office supply, swag, and onboarding item inventory, including cost control on shipping/carrier accounts
• Develop and iterate workplace policies and processes to maximize operational efficiency
• Partner cross-functionally with People, IT, Security, Finance, and Internal Events to execute company events, onsites, and all-hands

What you should have

• 4+ years experience in workplace operations, office management, facilities management, or a related field
• Strong vendor management skills, with a track record of holding partners accountable to SLAs and budgets
• Experience with event planning — corporate events, employee engagement, or similar
• Experience managing budgets and tracking expenses
• Comfort with tools like Google Suite, Asana, Okta, Ramp, Workday, and Claude
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your message across People, IT, Security, and Finance stakeholders
• A proactive, detail-oriented mindset that can manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance

The base salary range for this full-time position is 62,480 to 70,290 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
