Job Description
In the Software Engineer Intern position, you’ll gain hands-on experience building and maintaining software that transforms healthcare delivery. You’ll join an AI-first experienced engineering team to develop, test and enhance applications while learning how AI, automation and modern development practices can improve the way software is built and delivered.

What You’ll Do and Impact:
Design & build software applications that support customer and business needs.
Write, test and maintain code while learning practices for building secure, scalable and reliable software.
Use AI-dev tools to accelerate learning, improve development efficiency and support software quality.
Collaborate with Product teams to understand requirements, solve customer challenges.
Contribute to the development and integration of APIs, application components and data-driven functionality.
Test and troubleshoot software, identify issues and help implement practical solutions.
Participate in code reviews, agile development practices and team discussions to build technical skills and contribute to shared outcomes.
Research emerging technologies and development approaches, applying what you learn to solving customer challenges.
Experience:
Enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering degree program.
Experience with one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C#).
Demonstrated basic knowledge of databases and SQL, enabling effective handling of data storage and retrieval tasks.
Ability to work part time (15-20 hours) during the school year and full time (40 hours) during the summer.

Portfolio of end-to-end projects with AI features.

Systems Thinking & Problem Solving - Identify the right problems to solve by understanding the broader system – customers, stakeholders, processes, data, technology, and AI. Connect root causes, dependencies, tradeoffs, and upstream and downstream effects to develop practical, scalable solutions that improve the whole.
Strong curiosity and motivation to explore AI capabilities and how to apply them to customer challenges.
Excellent ability to collaborate within a fast-paced team, and communicate technical ideas clearly.
