Position Overview

Diligent is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer. You will be responsible for system availability, infrastructure, and process automation. Your focus will be to work with a global team of SRE with the goal of reducing toil by measuring repetitive, manual tasks, and automating them where possible. Strong communication skills will be required as you will be working with multiple development teams to implement more efficient and reliable procedures. The ideal candidate will be hands on and always looking for improvements.

 Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and support of global applications which run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Kubernetes.
• Supporting multiple Diligent datacenters and deployments in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Provide support to development teams on monitoring, scalability, and reliability.
• Contribute to incident management and response efforts for all Diligent applications.
• Define automated playbook that integrates with ServiceNow and our incident management systems.
• Defining and measuring SLIs, SLO and SLA.
• Improving application performance and availability via log and metric analysis and anomaly detection.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Systems administration experience (Linux or Windows or Cloud)
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or related containerization software.
• Knowledge of configuration management, release automation, and orchestration technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Cross functional collaboration skills and relationship building skills are a must. 
• Good working experience for a wide range of technologies, frameworks, and platforms such as AWS Cloud, Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes,
• Working knowledge (or willingness to learn) of automating infrastructure components (e.g., routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks)
• Participate in architectural sessions and provide solutions to complex problems
