About the Sr. QA Engineer
- Define, communicate, and oversee the test strategy for projects, ensuring alignment with quality objectives.
- Manage and coordinate defect tracking and reporting, working closely with release management and development.
- Take responsibility for the creation and management of test plans, ensuring traceability to requirements and covering functional and non-functional specifications.
- Design, build, and deploy robust test automation frameworks, aligning with project needs and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the execution of automated tests, ensuring reliability and stability across environments.
- Drive automation strategy by developing test concepts, maintaining automation frameworks, and aligning test methods with automation goals.
- Provide detailed reports on progress, anomalies, risks, and overall project quality metrics, ensuring transparency to stakeholders.
- Collect and analyze metrics on test case effectiveness, system quality, and automation impact, develop dashboards guide quality improvements.
- Lead cross-functional discussions to align testing methodologies, and drive quality improvements across development and testing teams.
- Provide SME guidance for features and new projects.
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers, promoting a cohesive, quality-focused team environment.
About you as the Sr. QA Engineer:
- 5 years of progressive related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in defining test strategies, risk assessment, and quality gates, with a strong ability to design, implement and optimize automation for complex testing.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages, Java, Javascript, Typescript, Kotlin, and driving automation with those languages mobile testing experience required
- Extensive experience with test management tools. (Jira, TestRail, Xray)
- Able to drive test initiatives across teams and collaborate with developers, devops and product managers. Strong communication and documentation skills for strategies, reports and knowledge transfers.
- Experience with CICD integrated workflows, using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Some experience with AI tooling to assist in testing.
- Performance, scalability, and load testing experience.
