Manager, Software Engineering - (m,f,d)

Your Responsibilities at the Manager, Software Engineering:

• Be a passionate, hands-on Team Lead and responsible for mentoring around 6 engineers
• Ability to create an impact on the design and development of DT products
• Working closely with the product team and building a roadmap for the delivery of customer features
• Leading by example and becoming a pillar of excellence for your team and the company
• Provide professional support to the tech team
• Plan and manage the day-to-day work of the team including task allocation, scrum ceremonies, delivery planning, capacity and workload balancing
• Work with relevant stakeholders related to the teams’ delivery
• Collaborate with other technical teams to allow smooth delivery of the roadmap
• Perform Hands on work where needed including code creation, code review, documentation etc. 

Your Qualifications as the Manager, Software Engineering:

• Over 3 years of people management (1on1, performance review, hiring, etc..)
• Over 5 Years of software development with a high-performance backend language (Very familiar with C++. Learning Ruby will also be a requirement if not familiar yet). 
• Over 3 years of experience managing scrum ceremonies (standup, sprint review, sprint planning, retrospective) and building delivery plans
• Good experience with cloud-based providers (AWS, GCP)
• First-hand experience in designing and writing elastic, highly concurrent, scalable, cloud-based systems
• High standards for code quality, production stability, deployment process, performance, and testing
• Experience in working with Docker and Kubernetes is an advantage
• Experience in working with Spark is an advantage
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks (Angular) is an advantage
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
