Your role

In this position you will be responsible to Facilitate procurement, monitor delivery progress, take ownership of IT delivery processes, proactively resolve technical blockers, and manage project finances across EMEA. You will work closely together with several stakeholders across Construction, Design, procurement and Operations to make sure out IT hardware is up to date and delivery is executed in a timely manner for our new buildings as well as current datacenters.

  • Establish Project Plan Baseline: Collaborate to define and document the IT project scope, incorporating key milestones and dependencies.
  • Define Deliverables and Roles: Determine clear deliverables and allocate roles and responsibilities for both internal and external project team members.
  • Resource Management: Identify and secure necessary resources required for project execution.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work closely with DLR Network, System Engineering, IT delivery, BMS and Security teams, as well as external ICT, BMS and Security consultants, to ensure adherence to standards and optimal solution development.
  • Task Oversight: Assign and supervise daily tasks of DLR and external personnel/ consultants, ensuring alignment with established milestones.
  • Progress Tracking and Issue Resolution: Conduct regular meetings to assess progress and address challenges, issues, or queries related to assigned projects.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide periodic updates and status reports to various stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Contribute to a Global Delivery Team, sharing experiences and enhancing the Project Management discipline within DLR by improving processes, methods, and tools.
  • Documentation Management: Create and maintain project documentation.

What you’ll need

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience in a technical environment, preferably in the Data Center sector with exposure to Security and Infrastructure projects
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated understanding of foundational Project Management processes, strategies, tools, and methods.
  • Technical Proficiency: Solid foundation in Servers, Storage, Security and Network technologies to comprehend inter-dependencies and technical solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient in cross-organizational communication with excellent written and verbal English language skills.
  • Adaptability: Experience in delivering against plans in fast-paced, multi-disciplined, and often ambiguous environments.
  • Autonomy: Ability to work independently to design, plan, and execute technical projects.
  • Decision Making: Capable of distilling data and articulating rationale for difficult trade-offs.
  • Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel throughout Europe as needed.
