Digital Realty is currently looking for a Senior Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team to work closely with our Corporate Services, Operations, and other groups to implement and maintain quality and customer focused solutions.
Based on the nature of our industry, our solutions utilize and rely on a wide variety of technologies. As such, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated person who can administer enterprise solutions as well as be flexible enough to explore revolutionary or “outside the box” ideas to get the job done. We need people who take pride in being a subject matter expert in their domain yet understand and explore the many other talents of IT; someone with expert knowledge of Cisco IOS and networking in general.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement network solutions (as a part of the Network Engineering team)
- Maintain and update detailed network documentation
- Provide 3rd level support for network related issues
- Manage and/or participate in medium to large network projects (also utilizing remote hands vendors and internal staff)
- Work independently on projects based on pre-devised project plan
What you’ll need
- Minimum five years’ experience as a network engineer responsible for a primarily Cisco based network
- Expert knowledge of Cisco products, their functionality, configuration and best practices
- DMVPN, SSL VPN, IPSEC VPN
- Working knowledge of firewall administration
- Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking configuration and protocols
- Error investigation, Troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysi
