Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive penetration testing across various domains including web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate with different units to align penetration testing (PT) requirements and coordinate schedules with customers and stakeholders.
- Execute manual penetration tests with hands-on expertise, creating custom scripts for payloads to simulate various security breach scenarios.
- Develop and maintain a test lab environment for zero-day attack simulations.
- Provide recommendations to mitigate or reduce security risks in IT systems.
- Administer PT tools, manage licenses, and oversee PT infrastructure.
- Drive automation and innovation in penetration testing by identifying and implementing operational and technical improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Create and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of designs and configurations.
- Investigate reported vulnerabilities from researchers or reporters, and provide final resolutions.
- Mentor security engineers, fostering their technical and problem-solving skills.
Your skills and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of security controls, including access control, auditing, authentication, encryption, integrity, physical security, and application security.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Netsparker, and Fortify.
- Strong grasp of security issues at the enterprise, network, API, mobile system, and application levels.
- Comprehensive understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, TCP/IP networks, and the relevant security controls (both technical and procedural) for each layer.
- Experience in crafting detailed technical reports and executive summaries.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Preferred certifications: OSCP, OSWP, OSEP, OWSA, OWSE, CEH Master.
- Educational background: Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Professional experience: 2 to 5 years in the field.
