We’re looking for an ambitious senior engineer to take responsibility for mechanical engineering on our next generation of manufacturing equipment, working across multiple engineering disciplines. You'll be working with an experienced team of mechanical and electrical engineers to take a pragmatic approach to equipment design and integration into our facilities.  You’ll be responsible for whole projects, pulling in the talents of others when needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 8+ years of applicable engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and familiarity with simulation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes is highly desirable.
  • The ideal candidate will possess experience in 2D and 3D CAD (such as AutoCAD and Solidworks), proficiency in PDM and/or PLM software and systems, knowledge of facilities systems and methods (including piping, gas systems, compressed air, etc.), expertise in designing large structural assemblies, and a background in shipping and assembling large assemblies and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, engineering, building, testing, and optimizing parts for high volume vacuum manufacturing systems.
  • Selecting and integrating off the shelf hardware for process control, product quality measurement, and automated manufacturing tasks.
  • Managing multiple suppliers to construct parts and assemblies on time and within budget.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of materials and mechanical/structural stress analysis.

Manufacturing and Engineering Departments Physical Requirements:
-Use appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
-This position will often: Sit, stand for long periods, walk, grasp, reach with hands and arms, lift below and above shoulders, bend, twist at the waist,  climb, balance, stoop, squat,  kneel, crawl, talk, hear, see, use fine finger manipulation, and complete repetitive motions. 
-Some tasks may require the use of ladders or stairs
-Some tasks may require driving or the use of foot controls
-Lift/carry and push/pull up to 50 pound
