About the team
Every engineer on our global Engineering team is given the opportunity to take ownership of a large portion of the product where they’re able to see immediate results. Combining natural language processing and artificial intelligence with world-class cloud computing, the things you’ll create at Dialpad will shape the future of work—enabling companies to work from anywhere and making business communication more human.
Your role
As an iOS Engineer, you will play a critical part in defining and building a fault-tolerant, scalable, and well-designed application. We have a sophisticated distributed system with complex failure modes across multiple web and telephony protocols. What you’ll do
- Architect, build, iterate and manage our set of iOS applications
- Influence every aspect of the iOS development process from API creation, design, and final product
- Partner closely with our design team to produce an application that flows seamlessly and works intuitively with our users
- Own important pieces of the product that has high visibility both internally and externally
- Envision new products and features that are inspired, considered, and magical
- Find simple, elegant solutions to hard problems
Skills you’ll bring
- +2 years of experience building mobile apps.
- Strong foundation in the fundamentals of computer science, with familiarity in data structures, algorithms and software design optimized for embedded systems.
- Experience developing iOS applications using Swift or Objective-C
- Knowledge of iOS frameworks such as UIKit, Core Data, and Core Animation
- Outstanding engineering talent proven by great results, interesting hobby projects, open source contributions
- Understanding of Git and version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bonus skills
- Engineers with a background in real time communications technology is a plus
- BS, or MS, in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
