Your role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Design team, focused on enhancing the Design Systems team operations and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for optimizing workflows and collaboration. 

As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in addressing opportunities for improvement in team operations, with a specific focus on team meetings, tools and software, knowledge sharing, learning & development, and research & data.

This position reports to our Design Operations Manager and has the opportunity to be based in our Buenos Aires, Argentina office.

What you’ll do

Tools & software management:

• Drive the adoption of Jira as a primary project management and communication tool within the Design team.
• Work closely with team members to align processes around the use of tools such as Jira and/ or Monday.com.
• Provide training and support to ensure all team members are proficient in using these tools effectively.
• Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot any technical issues related to tools and software.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks and blockers ensuring smooth operation.

Knowledge sharing:

• Streamline the use of tools, software and repositories commonly employed by the team to facilitate seamless knowledge sharing.
• Develop and implement processes that encourage the sharing of insights, best practices, and lessons learned within the team.
• Establish effective connections with other teams to foster cross-functional knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Research & data integration:

• Support research initiatives within the team, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to design processes.
• Cultivate a data-driven culture within the team by promoting the use of data in decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with researchers and data analysts to assess the need for a research and data approach in the design process, integrating findings into the overall design strategy.

Learning & development:

• Work closely with Design Leadership to support them in assessing the skill set, needs, and growth opportunities of individual team members.
• Collaborate with Design Leadership to design and implement learning and development programs tailored to the needs of the Product Design team.
• Understand and align with the ways of working with Design’s primary stakeholders, fostering collaboration and synergy.

Team meetings and other processes optimization:

• Provide support in evaluating and implementing strategies to maximize the value derived from team meetings.
• Collaborate with Design Leadership to ensure that meetings are efficient, impactful, and contribute to the enhancement of design quality.
• Work together with Design Leadership to continuously assess and iterate on meeting structures and team operations to improve overall team communication and collaboration.

Skills you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Design or relevant field; Project Management certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Design and Design systems processes and tooling, such as Figma and FigJam (Preferred).
• Proven experience in SaaS industry and Product Development (Required).
• Proven experience in project management (+5 years), particularly in a design or creative environment (Preferred).
• Strong knowledge of project management tools such as Jira and Monday.com (Required).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, combined with expertise in documentation and a talent for building positive relationships (Required).
• Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement (Required).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Required).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities (Required).
