About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced individual to fill the role of Manufacturing Engineer, New Product Introduction (NPI).

As a Manufacturing Engineer focused on new product introduction, you will be responsible for the architecture and optimization of CAD, product lifecycle management, product data management, and bill of materials processes and systems, along with playing a crucial role in connecting hardware design and manufacturing processes, ensuring a seamless transition for our products to production.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise and mentorship, project management skills, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our product information management systems and successfully bring products to volume manufacturing and meet market demands.

Responsibilities
Support the development and/or assessment of current strategies for managing product data throughout its lifecycle, from creation to retirement, and accurate bill of materials (BOM) for identified products.
Partner with internal Dexterity engineering teams to establish and/or update new engineering standards, drawing and data standards, naming conventions, and classification systems to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Support, when identified, the configuration of product data management, product lifecycle management, and ERP software systems integration, including 3D models, 2D drawings, part numbering, BOM, Electrical schematics, and documentation.
Provide input and feedback on Obsolescence Management including forecasting, engineering solutions, last time buy management, and coordination with supply chain and field support engineers.
Support the management ofSupport the management of Product Build Documentation including Operations Methods Sheet (OMS) creation and redlines.
Engage with design engineers and Product Management early in the development of a new product to drive continuous improvement and to prepare for manufacturing.
Evaluate new designs to infuse DfX opportunities and find potential fit/alignment or other issues.
Contribute to the completion of mechanical and electrical designs..
Transform new designs (EBOM) into an MBOM (kits/assemblies) for volume manufacturing that supports how it will be marketed, manufactured, and shipped.

Desired Experience
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
10+ years of hands-on experience as a Manufacturing and/or NPI engineer leading complex products from engineering design to volume production while closely collaborating with Contract Manufacturers.
Proven experience in the integration and management of Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Autodesk Vault, Oracle Agile, Arena) for the product development life cycle within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Prior hands-on and in-depth knowledge of PDM/BOM principles, methodologies, and best practices.
Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, and assembly methods.
Experience with NPI processes, including design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.
Ability to multi-task and switch contexts while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Continuous improvement oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.

Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $155,000 to $175,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis
