Position Summary:
This project manager, will oversee and manage 5,000+ equipment assets within the Research and Development teams in San Diego. In addition you will support Engineering members on the Engineering Services team in driving business process improvements across all R&D workstreams. In working with all the different workstreams there will be many opportunities to drive significant impact by capturing best practices in each workstream and driving those process improvements across the department. In addition this project manager will have an opportunity to learn from a wide range of experienced project managers and engineers to help with their career growth.
Where you come in:
- You will oversee and manage 5000+ equipment assets with in R&D and be responsible for working with key stakeholders to maintain these assets.
- You will be responsible for managing the required service contracts for these equipment assets.
- You will support the Engineering Services team with project management related tasks.
- Collaborate effectively with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on plans, timelines, and expectations.
- Provide administrative and logistical oversight for Enterprise Asset Management Systems.
- Establish and document Standard Operating Procedures for the Engineering Services Team.
- Track various projects across the Engineering Services team to ensure progress and completion.
- Collaborate with various teams to develop project plans, status reports, and dashboards, fostering alignment and teamwork.
- Build trust and credibility with business partners through regular, high-quality interactions.
- You design compelling PowerPoint presentations for key meetings, translating complex information into clear and engaging visuals.
- You utilize tools like SharePoint and SmartSheet to create workflows and forms, streamlining business processes and enhancing collaboration.
- You craft process flows in Lucidchart and PowerPoint to visualize and communicate critical insights
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team

Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related experience in managing projects and administrative tasks in project management.
- 2+ years of experience in the business or medical industry, preferably managing complex and cross-functional projects
- 2+ years of experience in managing calibration and preventative maintenance of large quantities of equipment assets
- 2+ years of experience working in an Enterprise Asset Management System such as (SAP, Infor, or IBM Maximo
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of industry best practices when it comes to managing equipment assets.
- Experience with software tools including but not limited to Smartsheets, LucidCharts, Asana, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience managing vendor service contracts.
- Experience with PMI Project management tools
Experience and Education Requirements:
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.
