The Tribe Manager Microsoft - Data & Analytics serves as the ultimate figurehead and strategic leader for our Microsoft Data subject matter ecosystem. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for building, inspiring, and leading a high-performing team of consultants, data engineers and architects.

You will bridge the gap between people management, technical innovation, and business development. Operating as part of the Pillar leadership team and reporting directly to the Pillar Director, you will collaborate closely with Operations Leads and Resource Managers to eliminate silos, maximize synergies, and foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance culture.

🎯 Key Categories of Responsibility

1. People Leadership & Operational Excellence

  • Team Governance: Manage, mentor, and oversee the entire Microsoft Data tribe, directly guiding and mentoring Team Coaches through structured 1-on-1 sessions.
  • Talent Cultivation: Define performance metrics, ensure up-to-date goal setting, and provide essential input for comprehensive performance reviews to HRBPs and the Pillar Director.
  • Skill Gap Closure: Act as the primary escalation point for Team Coaches and take ultimate accountability for closing technical skill gaps, driving training tracks, and pushing for premier Microsoft certifications.
  • Operational Performance: Drive the tribe’s core Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) spanning learning paths, revenue targets, and operational excellence.

2. Technical Excellence & AI Innovation

  • Asset Adoption: Take responsibility for the local implementation and adoption of EMEA technical assets, accelerators, and reusable code bases.
  • Tech Roadmap: Shape the local technical vision for the Microsoft Data ecosystem, ensuring the team stays ahead of the curve on Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, and Databricks on Azure.
  • AI Advocacy: Champion an "early adopter" mindset by actively integrating modern AI innovations and advanced tools directly into client projects and internal workflows.

3. Business Development & Partner Ecosystems

  • Pre-Sales Leadership: Partner with sales teams to drive pre-sales activities, including complex solution design, technical scoping, effort estimation, and high-impact client pitches.
  • Partner Alignment: Build, nurture, and leverage deep strategic relationships with Microsoft and relevant technology partner ecosystems to accelerate tribe growth.
  • Sales Plays: Contribute heavily to the definition of localized sales plays, standardized statements of work (SOWs), and modern go-to-market strategies.

4. Client Engagement & Marketing

  • Senior Advisory: Build and sustain robust relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted senior advisor capable of translating complex technical debt or data innovations into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Practice Visibility: Maximize market visibility by presenting at industry MeetUps, tech gatherings, and writing thought leadership articles or creating video content in tandem with the marketing team.
