Job Description

Your Role With Us:

As a Network and Security Engineer focusing on DataCenter network and web application firewall, you play a crucial role in our team, responsible for developing, implementing, and operating our network and security infrastructure. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to secure and optimize our DataCenter environments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Planning, implementation, and operation of the network infrastructure in the DataCenter, including physical and virtual network components.
• Configuration, management, and maintenance of web application firewalls (WAF) to protect web applications against security threats.
• Conducting regular security reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Identification, analysis, and mitigation of network and security issues.
• Development and implementation of security measures and protocols for network management.
• Collaborating with the operations team to integrate network and security solutions.
• Using tools like MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO for documentation and project management.
• Conducting release tests in the lab environment to verify network and security configurations before deployment in production systems.
• Documenting proven procedures and instructions for the operations team to ensure efficient and error-free implementation of network security solutions.
• Practical experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For:

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable qualification.
• Solid experience in network and security engineering, preferably in DataCenter environments.
• Hands-on experience with web application firewalls and a deep understanding of network security principles, especially with Imperva WAF technology.
• Experience working with MS Visio, Jira, Confluence, and DrawIO.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively solve complex problems.
• Team player, strong communication skills, and a high degree of self-organization.

• Fluent English + German is advantage

Certifications are advantageous, particularly:

• CompTIA Network+
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Juniper Networks Certified Professional (JNCIP-ENT)
• CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional)
• CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional)
• Imperva Application Security Certification (IASC)
• Basic understanding of Cisco ACI
• ITIL® Foundation
