Job Description

Our Data Tribe's mission is to deliver business value in all strategic areas of TDG to become a real data-driven company.
In the Data Domain Consumer we focus on Deutsche Telekom's private customers and create exceptional consumer experience by harnessing and analyzing data to drive insights-based decision-making.

For our international development team we’re looking for an experienced (Middle+/Senior) Software Engineer with 3+ years of experience who would be able to support the development of backend microservices.

Your daily tasks will include:

1. Development and support of microservices and serverless applications
2. Contribution to the creation of architectural and implementation concepts and interface designs
3. Proactive engagement in review of merge requests to uphold high standards of quality and best practices
4. Implementation of reliable data processing and delivery procedures, including error handling, data validation, and redundancy measures, to maintain data integrity and ensure consistent performance
5. Automatisation of testing, deployment, and operational processes within a cloud environment
6. Oversight of the production aspects of the team's developed microservices and serverless applications

Qualifications

• Expert level knowledge of one or more modern programming languages (Python, C#, Kotlin, JS, Go, etc.) and corresponding backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Spring Boot, ASP.NET Core, NodeJS, etc.)
• Strong understanding of microservice architecture and multitier architecture principles and software design patterns
• Proficiency with Git version control
• Practical exposure to using SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.). Experience in using ORMs is beneficial
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Github Actions) is preferred
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (with helm) is beneficial
• Familiarity with message brokers (RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub, etc.)
• Strong willingness to acquire missing knowledge in a reasonable time
