Job Description

We are searching for a DevOps Engineer to collaborate with our cross-functional team and become part of our renowned community of skilled professionals in the dynamic field of information technology.

The Core Networks & First Line Maintenance (T-CNF) unit is responsible for the core network: from planning to development to operation - we are responsible end to end and provide the functions and capacities in the core network in the highest quality, nationally and internationally.

The Super Squad Automation and Data Analytics is a competence center for IT and automation within T-CNF. We construct and manage solutions for automating infrastructure rollout as well as IP address management, while also establishing the groundwork for data-driven decision-making through our data analytics platform. We are currently taking over a new responsibility to modernize the data center infrastructure management of T-CNF and affiliated organizations.

As a DevOps Engineer you develop advanced technical solutions for the expansion and operations of our Data Center Infrastructure Management products and help raising these to the next quality level.

• You support our project teams during the development, validation, and planning as well as the implementation of product releases.
• You plan the automation of services, processes, and operations models. You conduct performance analysis and -tuning as well as error analysis and troubleshooting.
• You support the automation of deployments in all system environments.
• You prepare and administrate the project specific infrastructure and tool suites for integration and delivery.
• You work in an agile cross-functional international team.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or engineering or physics or a similar qualification
• At least 1 year proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
• Good knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker
• Proficient experience with CI/CD and version control like git/Gitlab
• Solid knowledge about Linux
• Proficiency in a scripting language, e. g. Python
• Practical experience operating Postgres DB
• Competence in automation engineering
• Good analytical and conceptional skills
• Team spirit and the desire to accept diverse challenges
• Fluent in English, both written und spoken
