Corporate Banking is a technology centric business and is focused on offering Payment solutions to satisfy an ever-increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems with access to supporting data for real time processing.
Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 Engineers (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that we support within Corporate Bank are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through ‘vertical’ CIO aligned teams and by ‘horizontals’ such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a seasoned technical leader for over 100+ engineers that will help build out and expand the capabilities of Corporate Bank’s cloud native next generation global payments network.
You’ll work with CIOs, engineering leadership, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design and implement payment capabilities and tooling, deliver best-in-class reliability/performance, and deliver new product experiences. You will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale technical efforts.

Your key responsibilities:
Up to date on modern architecture design patterns e.g. micro-services, streaming architectures, horizontal scalability, API design patterns, REST services, SOA principles, database systems, UI frameworks, enterprise integration patterns, modern SDLC practices
Experience on CICD tools like Maven, Jenkins, GitHub actions, Kubernetes etc.
Develop and execute against both short and long-term roadmaps. Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, and a sustainable technical foundation
Define, drive and execute the technology architecture and strategy including our Google Cloud Platform and hybrid cloud journey
Ensure solutions are well designed and can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow
Work in close partnership with other technology teams to maximize the shared technology product roadmap, drive synergies, simplification, and efficiencies
Develop, implement, and iterate to achieve goals with well-defined success criteria for the engineering teams
Help influence peers / stakeholders formally and informally and build consensus while dealing with ambiguity
As a leader within engineering team, assist with organizational growth and development while maintaining a high bar for excellence and technical curiosity.
Oversee the recruitment, retention and progression of key engineering resources.
Participating in industry forums to drive adoption of innovative techniques, tools and solutions in the Bank.
Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
Your skills and experience:
Minimum 15 years of engineering experience OR equivalent combined work experience reflecting domain / technical expertise in a Financial Services industry
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in leading large scale transformation projects in modern architecture design patterns (e.g. micro-services, API design patterns, enterprise integration patterns, modern SDLC practices etc) and driving the modern technology architecture on the Cloud Platform or hybrid cloud journey.
Working experience of leading large Engineering teams, developing roadmap for projects across multiple cross functional teams and geographic locations with demonstrated ability to balance execution and velocity with security, reliability, and efficiency
Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Experience mentoring, and investing in the development of other engineering leaders and staff engineers
