Senior Front-End Engineer

CSO – Advanced Threat Analysis & Investigations is a subject-matter expert group within the Information Security Operations space of Deutsche Bank. The group is responsible for protecting the Deutsche Bank IT infrastructure by performing in-depth analysis of cyber-security related incidents and driving mitigation and defensive controls.

The Senior Front-End Engineer will work closely with a number of system engineers and back-end developers in order to drive the development of a platform that supports incident response and threat intelligence operations by automatically collecting and analyzing malicious programs as well as other threat-related data. A primary task of this position will involve the customization and design of the user interface of the platform in order to efficiently display and visualize respective analysis results. Excellent knowledge of client-side scripting languages as well as strong familiarity with React and the React ecosystem will therefore be critical for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the front-end development of a platform that supports cyber security incident response capabilities in the company.
• Customize and create components for efficiently displaying and visualizing large amounts of data.
• Support integration of custom APIs for collecting and analyzing cyber threat-related information.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs built using Python/Django to fetch and manipulate data.
• Ensure high usability, accessibility, and responsiveness of the platform.
• Optimize application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain application stability.

Skills:

• Expert in user interface design and customization, client-side scripting, and strong familiarity with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Strong familiarity with React ecosystem, including libraries/frameworks like React Router, Redux, Axios, and Next.js.
• Knowledge of build tools like Webpack or Parcel.
• Experience with version control systems Git (Gitlab) and package managers (e.g., npm, Yarn).
• Fluency in English is required for this position. Candidates should also be strong team players and possess strong communication skills.
