Job Description:
Deutsche Bank's Gravity program aims to transform the digital experience for 5 million customers by migrating our German retail customers for our 2 brands: Deutsche Bank and Norisbank from a legacy on-premises IT infrastructure to a cutting-edge, GCP Online Banking platform. With a successful migration in our pocket of our PostBank customers, Gravity migration is a top priority for the bank, reflecting its utmost importance to our business strategy and customer experience.
The Lead Engineer is responsible for managing or performing work across multiple areas of the bank's overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis, development, and administration.
Your tasks:
- Develop new technology applications in partnership with Business and Operations stakeholders to perform the Gravity Migration
- Working in a global environment with distributed delivery teams, proposing the technical design and developing micro services to meet the functionalities required by the business
- Coach delivery teams in modern engineering practices, striving to ensure that your team can build, test and release software with the short lead times and a minimum of waste
- Strive to contribute towards a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond
- Collaborate with other teams to build systems and integrate them together
- Collaborate with the architects and engineering community to help define an architectural roadmap and individual solution designs that fit within that roadmap
- Value a software craftsmanship approach to software development, taking pride in well-crafted software that steadily adds value
- Support and enforce automated unit/integration testing as a standard development practice
- Ensure that the software built is reliable and easy to support in production
- Promoting a DevOps/SRE culture and modern toolchains to support continuous delivery
- Structure the delivery of program elements into epics&stories, and facilitate integration between various teams output for production releases, with support from BA, Architects, and Scrum Masters / Product Owners
- Support in defining and implementing clear standards and KPI’s for end to end software delivery.
Your skills:
- J2EE (expert knowledge in developing enterprise application in Java)
- Spring Boot (this framework is basis of our microservices)
- Hibernate (used in our services as persistence layer)
- Apache Camel (used in our PCS microservices to design workflows)
- Openshift Kubernetes
- GIT
- Maven und/oder Groovy
- Oracle PL/SQL (good knowledge in developing Oracle based application)
- UNIX Shell Scripting (in Oracle defined functionality is orchestrated via scripts calling UC4/Automic)
