Transaction monitoring (TM) is an essential element of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy within Deutsche Bank (DB). DB is required to monitor transactions and undertakes a risk based approach towards transaction monitoring to identify potentially unusual and suspicious transaction behavior in order to detect and prevent the misuse of its products and accounts for the purpose of money laundering or terrorist financing (ML/TF).

Your key responsibilities

The role will be located at DKS Manila and report directly  to the Director, Head Alert Investigations, Financial Crime Operations Asia Pacific located in DIPL India. 

·        Build and develop subject matter expertise in team, align the team’s performance and goal in line with the department’s goal and execute training strategy, as well as ensure employee best practice deployment per corporate requirements ensuring appropriate engagement levels as also evidenced by employee surveys and feedback

·        Deliver service excellence as measured by satisfaction surveys by AFC/FCO, along with participating in various performance review sessions with send site and partner them in all key initiatives and managing the processing to deliver KPIs on productivity, accuracy and timeliness as a service delivery leader.

·        Work with send site to review the Key Operating Procedures to ensure no gap in process execution and controls around the process. Enable process transitions into the department particularly of process ownership and end to end process management, as well as manage exceptions, escalations, and install best in class preventive and corrective actions

·        Execution of AML Transaction Monitoring Investigations for the assigned businesses and jurisdictions.

·        Perform, support or manage autonomous reviews and investigations.

·        Ensure the quality of transaction monitoring processes in the assigned businesses and jurisdictions.

·        Coordinate and/or prepare the required management information reporting data for local, regional or global submission as applicable.

·        Coordinate and work with AFC staff in the home and other locations to ensure consistency in standards and policy implementation.

·        Involvement in technical and project work and user-acceptance tests where required.

·        Deliver targets on productivity enhancements and process efficiencies, along with cost reductions per corporate framework of building world leading quality at the most effective and efficient cost structure

·        Manage operational risk, build a culture of highly risk aware and sensitive teams that proactively manage down operational risks, and evaluate/assist in evaluation of volume trends, procedures, QA feedback, audit finding and recommend/create action plan for training, procedural enhancements and/ audit gap mitigation

·        Provide input on key initiatives and other ad hoc projects as needed.

Your skills and experience

·        Bachelor’s Degree holder, of either Accountancy or any finance-related courses with a proven record of accomplishment in banking, shared service, or in finance industry. ACAMS or similar industrial accreditation would be highly desirable.

·        Possessing work exposure in Transaction Monitoring on different products, regions and being well versed in AML regulations will be required. While having exposure in platforms like ACTIMIZE, FIRCOSOFT, MANTAS, etc. and in delivering AML process automation/Robotics projects would be highly preferred.

·        Sound technical AML, KYC and Investigations knowledge and skills, with demonstrable hands-on experience

·        A background in Anti-Financial Crime with broad knowledge of AML or other investigations

·        Familiarity with diverse banking products across business lines and experience in working on AML monitoring and case management systems.

·        Structured and independent approach to work, along with strong analytical, problem-solving skills and sound judgment

·        Possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a multi-cultural setting with senior stakeholders across locations and a strong passion to perform in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
