Our Corporate Bank Technology team is a global team of 3000 coders (and growing!) across 30 countries. The primary businesses that Corporate Bank support are Cash Management, Securities Services, Trade Finance and Trust & Agency Services. CB Technology support these businesses through CIO aligned teams and by 'horizontals' such as Client Connectivity, Surveillance and Regulatory, Infrastructure, Architecture, Production, and Risk & Control.
About the Team
Surveillance & Screening Technology: We are responsible for delivering solutions that protect Deutsche Bank’s financial and reputational interests from criminal or inappropriate behavior. Through real-time sanction and embargo filtering, operational risk controls and sophisticated fraud detection that will increasingly deploy artificial intelligence, our systems protect both clients and the bank, allow risks to be managed according to risk appetite, and keep Deutsche Bank in compliance with global and local regulations.
Your Role
As part of our global team, you will be responsible for delivering change initiatives across our fraud and screening platforms. Your role will range from ensuring day to day stability of the platforms, to driving key change initiatives and defining our future state platform roadmap.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of change across multiple platforms and stakeholders
- Ensure platform roadmaps are driven by capacity and include any required technology uplift
- Work across multiple stakeholders to understand vision and priorities and shape into incremental deliveries
- Understand TCO of our platforms and drive opportunities for further efficiency
- Support recruitment and retention of our engineering teams
- Contribute towards a culture of learning and continuous improvement within your team and beyond
- Collaborate with other teams to build systems and integrate them together.
- Manage and develop vendor relationships to achieve maximum value for DB
- People Management responsibilities include leading teams, mentoring & teaching, leading by example and line-management
Skills
- Experience building and managing global teams
- Experience in building roadmaps for large-scale solutions in global organizations
- Proven ability to deliver end-to-end solutions with strict deadline and budgets
- Ability to align technology solutions with the priorities of DB stakeholders, regulators and auditors
- An understanding of the principles of lean and agile software development, as well as experience of the associated practices
- Experience of working closely and in partnership with senior leadership in the application development, both for technical delivery and leading global teams
- Financial industry - preferably in transaction banking and cash management. Familiarity with payment protocols e.g. SWIFT, ISO standards a plus
- Decision making skills in responding to incidents in mission-critical environments
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and fast changing environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at different organizational level with both technical and non-technical people
- Ability to influence senior client business and IT executives in order to follow agreed best practices for deliveries
- Ability to move between strategic discussions with senior client leaders to Scrum team members’ questions and impediments
