What you’ll achieve
As a Senior Software Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated systems and software basis the customer’s business goals, needs and general business environment creating software solutions.

You will:

• Participate in Building and Executing Infra, DevSecOps roadmap and implement & operate our cloud infrastructure.

• Implement operational excellence practices to ensure reliability and security, and ability to dive in and debug live production systems, performance bottlenecks, spotting anomalous system behaviour, and resolving root cause of incidents.

• Employ infrastructure as code paradigm to increase automation, scalability, and reliability be active at a technical level, participating in design and code reviews and taking a hands-on role for strategically important technical initiatives & identifying opportunities for enhancing system performance and reliability in alignment with business SLAs, SLOs, KPIs, and objectives, and provide guidance and assistance to SRE teams in implementing the identified improvements.

• Optimize resource utilization and efficiency in VMware environments by right-sizing virtual machines, optimizing configurations, and implementing resource pooling and overcommitment strategies. You will analyze resource usage patterns, identify optimization opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize ROI and minimize waste.

• Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions for VMware environments using features such as VMware vSphere HA, VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM), and VMware vSAN. You will ensure business continuity and data protection by implementing resilient and automated failover and recovery mechanisms

Essential Requirements

• 13+ years of experience in software development using high-level languages such as Python/Golang/Java with Shell scripting

• Usage of VMware vMotion, Storage vMotion, and Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS), VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, VMware NSX and vRealize Suite for workload mobility along with Storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and Software-Defined Storage (SDS).

• Good experience on cloud tech stack - Azure, AWS, Containers, Kubernetes, and Terraform and must possess Cloud Certifications along with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM, and CloudFormation.

• knowledge on Observability, logs, tracing, and monitoring tools such as Grafana (Loki and Tempo), Prometheus, Graylog, Jaeger, Zipkin, ELK stack or equivalent with problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Understanding of AI/ML Concepts: A solid understanding of fundamental AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques is essential for roles involving AI/ML. Candidates should be proficient in supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and other related areas.

Desirable Requirements

• Convey resolutions to audiences with varying degrees of technical/business proficiency and bring them to consensus.

• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments and design solutions for handling current and future growth.
