Principal Engineer International Product Support 

Perfection is the Dell Technologies standard, but occasionally our products don’t work as they should. International Product Support is the team that steps in to put things right. We undertake the timely analysis of potential product defects coming from Technical Support teams or from hands-on experience. We pride ourselves on providing the highest level of technical support for our products and work closely with Engineering teams to resolve those problems that are possible product defects. We then communicate directly with external customers to present our findings.

What you’ll achieve


As a Product Support engineer, you will be responsible for high-level support of company-released products through the end-of-service life (EOSL). Leads the timely analysis of potential product defects identified either through formal escalations from regional Technical Support teams or from hands-on experience. Works cross-functionally with other engineering teams and selected technology partners to carry out action plans to close defects and/or information gaps, and also works with quality, services, customer support, and sustaining personnel in determining the cause of failures and monitors failure trends. Engages external customers directly during issue analysis or to present findings.

You will:

  • Develop and deliver presentations of business and/or engineering information to all audiences including senior leadership Provides and helps identify training requirements for the team’s more junior members
  • Analyzes, estimates, reviews and software specifications for business requirements
  • Provides leadership role in team initiatives and meeting goals and targets for the department
  • Drives both complex reactive (PSE) and preventative (NPI_ issues appropriately with minimal coaching; demonstrates strong contingency planning

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of Security experience with a major focus on, specifically around encryption and anti-virus solutions
  • Scripting and PowerShell strong skills with a minimum of 3 years of experience required 
  • Enterprise software deployments and support
  • Enterprise experience in supporting mid to large strategic accounts; Networking fundamentals, Windows Client and Windows Server OS experience
  • Experience in deploying software solutions via SCCM/Intune, WS1

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. IDM experience/concepts is a strong plus. Database experience, specifically SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL
  • Preferred certifications: Security+/ CISA or CISM/ CISSP, preferred CISSP-ISSAP/ Network+/ Any other security certification.
