Your Impact
As a Frontend Developer at Deliverect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our web applications used by restaurant clients and internal teams. Your expertise in frontend development will ensure that our interfaces are intuitive, visually appealing, and perform seamlessly across all devices. You will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to create responsive, accessible, and highly functional web applications that drive the success of Deliverect's solutions.
This is a full-time, hybrid role with a flexible work schedule, offering 3 days in our Ghent, Belgium office and 2 days from the comfort of your home.
What you will do:
- Create and maintain user interfaces for Deliverect's web applications, ensuring they are intuitive and visually appealing.
- Integrate frontend applications with Deliverect's backend systems using well-documented RESTful APIs.
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and backend developers to ensure a cohesive user experience and a well-functioning web application ecosystem, while maintaining design systems.
- Write unit and integration tests using frameworks like Jest or Mocha to ensure the quality and functionality of frontend components.
- Optimize website and application performance for fast loading times and a smooth user experience, which is especially important for restaurant clients with varying internet speeds.
- Develop responsive web experiences that adapt seamlessly across various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile) for an optimal user experience.
- Use Git for code management and collaboration, maintaining a clean codebase with a strong branching strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in frontend development frameworks, libraries, and best practices.
What you will do:
- 4+ years of experience in frontend development with a proven track record of building complex and scalable web applications. You will be expected to mentor junior developers, provide technical leadership, and contribute to the overall architecture and design decisions of Deliverect's frontend applications.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS (including preprocessors like SASS or LESS), and JavaScript (including modern frameworks like React or Vue.js).
- Experience with a popular frontend framework (React, Vue.js, Angular) for building interactive and dynamic user interfaces.
- Strong understanding and ability to apply UI/UX design principles to create intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing web interfaces.
- Expertise in creating responsive web experiences that adapt seamlessly across various devices.
- Commitment to writing clean and accessible code that adheres to WCAG guidelines.
- Familiarity with Git for code management and collaboration.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
- Understanding of RESTful APIs for data communication between frontend applications and Deliverect's backend systems.
