Senior DevOps Engineer

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for deploying code at scale and monitoring our cloud-based infrastructure, while working closely with software engineers to keep our platform secure and performant. You will be working on high visibility engineering initiatives and working alongside Engineers who have delivered a category creating & award winning enterprise SaaS applications.

Dealpath is the leading SaaS deal management platform that empowers firms involved in the acquisition, development, and financing of commercial real estate assets.

What you’ll do:

• Work with engineering teams to make sure new features are deployed quickly and easily.
• Utilize Kubernetes to orchestrate containerized applications for processing.
• Implement AWS DevOps practices to streamline deployment and management of applications.
• Manage the monitoring, alerting and logging of our infrastructure and maintain high standards of network availability and security.
• Spearhead network security and compliance initiatives.
• Implementing fine-grained access controls within the company and establishing compliance.

You are:

• Enthusiastic about automation and streamlined processes.
• Experienced at deploying production sites on Amazon Web Services that utilize multiple services (EC2, S3, RDS).
• Have a deep understanding of networking & Linux fundamentals.
• Have prior experience working within a SOC2 Type 2, ISO, or similar security compliant organization. 
• Able to work well in both team and individual environments.

The skill set:

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related experience.
• 2+  years of Kubernetes experience is required
• Understanding of modern web stacks and architecture (HTTP, REST).
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Effective with a scripting language (Ruby, Python, Shell etc.).
• Prior monitoring experience using Grafana, Cloudwatch, etc. 

Nice to haves:

• Design and develop automations and processes to streamline software setup and deployment processes.
• Experience with database administration.

The perks & Culture:

• The estimated pay range for California candidates for this position is $180,000 - $200,000 base.
• This position is also eligible for Dealpath's equity plan.
• Your compensation will be based upon several factors including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and the skills assessed in Dealpath's interview process.
• Your actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
