As our new Engineering Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead engineering teams composed of Android Developers and Mobile QA
- Contribute to the technical strategy and collaborate with key stakeholders to influence the product outcome both for long and short-term goals.
- Set goals and priorities for your engineering team.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to individual team members to help them achieve their goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations, such as code reviews, testing, and bug triage.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and delivery, to ensure that development work is aligned with business goals & needs.
- Build and maintain a strong engineering culture, including fostering innovation, promoting technical excellence, and encouraging continuous learning and improvement.
- Participate in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding new team members.
- Create a culture of freedom and responsibility that shines through quality and on-time delivery.
- Drive excellence across engineering teams by supporting modern software engineering practices.
You'll have:
- An expertise in mobile apps and technology with experience building great native or hybrid mobile apps for Android.
- Overall experience of 8 to 12 years, with 5+ years leading and mentoring technical teams that support and partner with international technology and product teams.
- Experience in a management role, with a proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Hands on experience of Android, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, SOLID Principles, Android System Design.
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in building apps that have been released to the Android Play Store.
