Dataiku is looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to support the evolution of its Data Science Platform, with a specific focus on generative AI and machine learning capabilities. 

In this role, the TPM is responsible for defining user stories and technical specifications in alignment with market requirements, managing the product backlog and coordinating features delivery. 

The role requires a good balance of technical skills and business acumen in order to advocate for our customers' needs within the engineering team.

Dataiku is a young company with great momentum and at this early stage, the TPM will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, Data Science, and Marketing. As our Data Science Platform is evolving to meet the rising demand for innovative solutions in the realm of Large Language Models, we’re looking for someone who can express passion for the new technologies and possibilities of Big Data, Advanced Analytics & Generative AI. 



What you’ll do:

  • Be an undisputed expert on product capabilities for your product area
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Management team to define the roadmap and prioritize the backlog 
  • Ensure feature delivery, while striking a balance between market priorities and engineering workload
  • Own your features, from defining the specifications all the way to ensuring internal enablement for the release, including the entire development cycles
  • Define user stories and technical specifications
  • Create internal documentation about the new features: release enablement, internal demo videos, etc…
  • Closely follow the development of the features, with the engineering team and leaders
  • Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to create the content about new features.

 

Who you are:

  • 4 years of related work experience in software engineering teams either as an engineer or product / project owner.
  • Strong interest in Data and Machine Learning
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field, or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Experience developing professional products and technologies.

 

Bonus points:

  • MS, MBA or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related technical field, or equivalent.
  • 2 years experience with Data and Machine Learning or Experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
