You will report to a Field Engineering Director in the region and work with a collaborative, customer-focused team that values innovation and creativity, using your skills to create customized solutions to help our customers achieve their goals and guide their businesses forward.

Notes on mandatory requirements:

• Location for the role must be in Paris (or within a commutable distance for hybrid schedule).
• Flexibility to travel (up to 20-30% as required for customer meetings, events and trainings).
• Business proficiency in both French and English required as a minimum. Fluency in additional regional languages may be advantageous.

The impact you will have:

• Form successful relationships with customers and prospects throughout your assigned territory to provide technical and business value in collaboration with an Account Executive.
• Gain excitement from clients about Databricks through hands-on evaluation and Spark programming, integrating with the wider cloud ecosystem and 3rd party applications.
• Contribute to building the Databricks technical community through engagement at workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.
• Become a Big Data Analytics advisor on aspects of architecture and design.
• Support your customers by authoring reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications.
• Develop both technically and in the pre-sales aspect with the goal of becoming an independently operating Solutions Architect.

What we look for:

• You have experience in use case discovery, scoping and solution design with clients; creating a narrative, answering customer questions, aligning the agenda with important interests, and achieving tangible outcomes.
• Professional-level experience delivering technical propositions, identifying customers' pain points, and explaining important areas for business value to develop a trusted advisor skillset. Able to dive deeper into solution architecture and design.
• Hands-on experience with a core programming language, Python or SQL. Apache Spark skills will be advantageous for the role.
• Knowledgeable in the Big Data Analytics domain with some exposure to advanced proofs-of-concept, including hands-on expertise with public cloud platform(s) - AWS (Amazon Web Services) platform expertise is a key requirement.
• Cloud certifications in AWS and Databricks will be advantageous.
