The Opportunity

We're seeking a proactive, skilled Junior Software Developer in Test (SDET) to play a role in improving the quality of our platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with engineers, learn new technologies, identify and resolve automation gaps, help build out quality standards, and innovate on testing strategies. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in software development, quality assurance and be able to work within a complex enterprise cloud platform to deliver high quality releases.

Specifically, you'll be:

  • Advocating for quality across the engineering teams
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including product management and engineering, to improve quality standards and practices across the platform
  • Document and track defects, as well as produce detailed reports
  • Developing and maintaining technical expertise in our products, industry trends, and best practices related to quality
  • Improving upon test automation frameworks that drive quality across the platform
  • Improving our CI/CD pipelines  
  • Engaging in technical discussions with engineers and stakeholders to formulate test plans and provide guidance and support from a quality perspective

About You

  • 2+ years of experience as a SDET or a similar role
  • Experience in improving quality, problem solving, and creating long-term solutions
  • Experience testing with various testing methodologies like performance testing, contract testing, integration testing, load testing, etc.
  • Understanding of API design and implementation
  • Experience with testing tools and frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, PactJs, K6, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in programming languages such as JavaScript/Typescript and Python
  • Competency in SQL
  • Familiarity with monitoring related tools and frameworks like Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Experience with or interest in Machine Learning and Generative AI
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform
  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
