We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Observability Tooling team, which is part of one of our 4 domains, the Platform Engineering domain. As an engineering domain we focus on Developer Experience, and our mission is to provide cross-platform tools and services to empower our engineers to deliver a world class customer experience.
About the role
Dashlane is looking for a highly talented senior software engineer to join the Observability Tooling team. Our Observability Tooling team works to provide reliable tools and services to allow Dashlane to have real-time visibility on our applications, react to any incidents and identify root causes, analyse and optimise the performance of our systems.
You have several years of experience and a proven track record in building, deploying and maintaining such services.
Location:
You will be based in Lisbon, with English as your working language. We offer a hybrid work arrangement, with Tuesday being the company day, where we all collaborate in the office and have a company-sponsored meal, a department day for team bonding (will be Thursday for your department), and a third day at your choice. We offer relocation support (national and international).
About our stack:
- Programming language:
- Backend: NodeJS, Typescript
- Frontend (Internal web application): React, Typescript
- Infrastructure and storage layer: AWS EC2, AWS ECS, AWS Lambda, MySQL on RDS, Redis, S3
- Release management and CI/CD: Gitlab
- Infrastructure provisioning and management: Terraform, Ansible
- Logging and monitoring: ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), AWS Cloudwatch
- Incident management: PagerDuty
- Application performance: Sentry
- Documentation and collaboration tooling: Confluence, Gitlab, Slack
At Dashlane you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain tools and services that provide and improve Dashlane's observability capability.
- Collaborate with platform teams (web, mobile and server) to understand pain points and requirements related to observability and propose innovative solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of professional experience building and maintaining production software and developer tools or frameworks that are secure, scalable and adoptable
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies, (e.g., AWS, Docker or Kubernetes)
- Extensive experience working in a DevOps culture with tools like Gitlab and practices like CI/CD.
- Solid technical leadership experience where you led the design and the delivery of complex solutions
- Strong mentorship experience where you coached more junior members to grow technically
- Fluent in English
We're Also Looking For:
- Have prior knowledge of Node.js
- Have prior knowledge of AWS
- Know how to code, but also to deploy, test, and monitor cloud applications
- Enjoy writing clean code that is easy to maintain and understand
- Have a security background
