Job Description:


Darktrace is building a world-class team of Specialist field experts with the ambition of becoming the world's leading AI-powered cybersecurity company. As organizations rapidly adopt generative AI, copilots, autonomous agents, and AI-driven business processes, Darktrace is uniquely positioned to help customers secure what AI can do, thanks to our 13 years’ experience of using AI for cyber security.


This high-profile, customer-facing role will support sales teams around the world, based in Continental Europe, helping strategic customers adopt and secure Cloud & Hybrid Network technologies through Darktrace's Behavioral Defense Platform and Darktrace / CLOUD portfolio. The role combines deep technical expertise, executive engagement, and business leadership to accelerate revenue growth, influence product direction, and establish Darktrace as the market leader in Cloud security.


As a Global Blackbelt, Cloud Security Specialist, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, helping organizations safely deploy their Hybrid network at scale while maintaining visibility, governance, and control over network components and data flows.


You will work alongside account teams, product management, marketing, engineering, and executive leadership to drive some of Darktrace's largest and most strategic Cloud security opportunities.


Candidates should be based in Continental Europe and willing to travel globally (though predominantly in EMEA) to support strategic customer engagements, executive meetings, partner activities, and industry events. 


What will I be doing:


  • Partner with account teams and regional leadership to develop AI security strategies that support revenue growth, customer retention, and platform expansion,
  • Serve as the senior technical authority for strategic customer opportunities involving DFIR, Cloud, SaaS, identity, network, and hybrid environments,
  • Lead executive briefings, support customer workshops, technical evaluations, and Proof of Value engagements focused on DFIR, Cloud & Hybrid Network security outcomes,
  • Mentor field pre/post sales engineers and account teams on Cloud security technologies, competitive positioning, and customer engagement strategies,
  • Advise customers on cloud security transformation initiatives, including multi-cloud adoption, workload protection, SaaS security, identity security, and operational resilience,
  • Demonstrate and position Darktrace's behavioural AI capabilities across cloud, network, email, endpoint, identity, and emerging AI environments. Darktrace's platform differentiates through behavioural analytics and cross-domain visibility rather than siloed security controls,
  • Help customers build governance, visibility, and security controls around the rapidly expanding use of Cloud across their business,
  • Develop trusted relationships with CISOs, CIOs, Security Architects, and executive stakeholders,
  • Identify expansion opportunities across Darktrace's broader platform, including Network, Email, Cloud, Endpoint, Identity, OT, and AI Security solutions,
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to provide customer feedback, competitive intelligence, feature requests, and roadmap influence,
  • Support the development of repeatable Cloud & Hybrid Network security sales motions, technical enablement programs, and customer success frameworks,
  • Create and present thought leadership content including webinars, whitepapers, conference presentations, blogs, and industry research,
  • Represent Darktrace at customer executive events, analyst briefings, industry conferences, and Cloud security forums,
  • Develop and maintain strategic partnership programss with hyperscalers, AI platform providers, cloud providers, SASE vendors, MSSPs, and consulting partners.

What experience do I need:


  • Proven experience as a Security Strategist,Security Strategist, Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, or similar customer-facing technical role. Experience on the customer-side would also be highly valuable, alongside excellent presentation and communication skills,
  • Strong expertise in cybersecurity, Cloud security, AI security, data security, or cyber risk management,
  • Demonstrated experience supporting consultative and solution-based sales through technical leadership and subject matter expertise,
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex Cloud, Networking, DFIR and cybersecurity concepts,
  • Experience building trusted relationships with senior technical and business stakeholders,
  • Ability to influence and lead outcomes across highly matrixed organizations,
  • Deep understanding of enterprise security architectures including cloud, identity, networking, endpoint, email, and SaaS environments,
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of modern cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, containers, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, APIs, and SaaS ecosystems and the risks associated with them,
  • Experience engaging with Security Operations Centres (SOC), incident response teams, cloud operations teams, and security leadership,
  • Experience discussing Cloud adoption strategies with executive stakeholders and security leadership teams.

Desirable but not essential:


  • Experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), Cloud Detection and Response (CDR), CNAPP, XDR, SIEM, Identity Security, Zero Trust, or related security domains,
  • Experience with Microsoft Security, Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, AWS Security Services, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Wiz, Lacework, Orca, Zscaler, Kape, or similar ecosystems,
  • Working knowledge of AI security, LLM security risks, Shadow AI, AI governance, and secure AI adoption strategies,
  • Familiarity with security frameworks including NIST CSF, ISO 27001, MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Controls, NIST AI RMF, OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, and ISO 42001,
  • Experience supporting large, strategic enterprise accounts across regulated industries,
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or equivalent,
  • Experience working within high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity organisations,
  • Fluency in English plus one additional European language is highly desirable.
