Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with extensive experience in React and a keen eye for design and user experience (UX). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of frontend technologies, a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of frontend developers. The candidate should also have proven delivery experience, experience integrating with native applications, and the ability to set technical direction and product vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Architectural Leadership:

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance frontend architecture.
• Define and uphold frontend development standards and best practices.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies and tools to improve the development process and user experience.
• Set technical goals and provide strategic direction for frontend projects.

React Development:

• Develop and maintain complex applications using React and related technologies.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Design & UX:

• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and enhance user experience.
• Conduct and oversee user research and usability testing to refine and improve designs.
• Implement and advocate for design systems, component libraries, and UI patterns.
• Critique and provide feedback on design proposals with a user-centered approach.

Collaboration & Mentorship:

• Work closely with backend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality products.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior and mid-level frontend developers.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive product development.

Quality Assurance:

• Ensure the application’s cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.
• Implement and oversee the use of automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Monitor and address performance issues and bugs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Technical Expertise:

• 7+ years of experience in frontend development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Extensive experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, React Router, etc.).
• Familiarity with modern frontend build pipelines and tools (GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Experience with server-side rendering and Next.js.
• Knowledge of GraphQL and Prometheus.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience setting technical direction and outlining product vision.

Design & UX:

• Proven experience in creating and implementing UX/UI designs.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• Experience with design tools such as Figma, or similar.
• Proven ability to critique design with empathy for end-user requirements.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and leading a team.
• Ability to see the big picture and manage multiple parallel deliveries.

• Good stakeholder communication skills, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Web Workers, Canvas, etc.
• Proven delivery experience in integrating with native applications.
