Project Engineer - Aerospace

Job Description

Cyient Project Engineer

Duties to include:

• Compile, analyze, and generate trending reports using data from various jet engine hardware components and USAF provided summary reports.
• Interpret and understand engineer drawings and extrapolate data as needed from technical manuals.
• Regularly attend meetings with Cyient Management and CIPT leads to provide status updates and progress reports.
• Drive deliverables towards completion to ensure on-time delivery.
• Track the completion of action items and work with PW and USAF personnel to submit completed action items.
• Once weekly, work with Pratt & Whitney and USAF Engineers on-site at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a Project Engineering capacity for Pratt & Whitney (direct or indirect) or similar customer is strongly preferred
• US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED (Must be able to clear a criminal history background check and be granted a pass for USAF on base access)
• Significant working experience as a project engineer or project manager
• Advanced MS Office 365 Suite skills
• Familiarity with Aerospace and Jet Engines is a plus
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary group of engineers
• A strong willingness to make decisions or suggest alternate and/or parallel paths
• Time management and origination skills
• Proven working experience in project/process management
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
• Tools/programs to be familiar with: SAP, Teamcenter, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365 Suite
• Candidate should have a technical background and should be capable of reading and understanding complex engineer drawings.
• A basic understanding of engineering specifications will be needed.
• Strong communication and self-motivation is a must for any project engineering role.
