About CWILL
CWILL (pronounced 'quill') is a post-purchase and retention suite built for Shopify brands. Reduce support tickets, recover lost revenue from returns, and turn one-time buyers into loyal fans — with tools purpose-built for every touchpoint that follows the sale.
About the Role
We're building a new generation of AI-native full-stack engineers. As AI changes how software is built, we want engineers who can take a feature from idea to release, across frontend, backend, database and deployment, using AI as part of everyday work.
You'll join our CWILL Pop-Up & Email Marketing team and learn through mentorship and real projects, helping us move toward a steady weekly release cycle.

What You'll Do
Engineering Work
- Develop business systems, internal tools, data tools and AI applications; with your mentor, gradually take on the full cycle: frontend, backend, database, API integration, testing and deployment
- Learn and use our standard AI development workflow: use AI tools for breaking down requirements, generating code, debugging, writing test cases, documentation and building productivity tools
- Build small feature modules end to end, including pages, APIs, database tables, admin settings, permissions, data processing and basic deployment
- Work with product and business teams to understand requirements, join solution discussions, break down tasks, integrate and test, verify releases and run retrospectives
- Take part in code review and technical retrospectives to keep raising code quality, engineering standards, testing discipline and reliability
- Capture reusable knowledge such as components, scripts, AI prompts, runbooks and project notes
Your Growth Path
- Months 1–3: learn frontend, backend, databases, APIs, Git, testing, deployment and our AI workflow, and build strong engineering habits
- Months 3–6: ship complete small features (a page, an API, a table, an admin setting, a release) with frequent code review
- Months 6–12: independently own small and medium features, using AI to plan, break down tasks, integrate, test and release
- Months 12–18: grow into an AI-native full-stack engineer with strong business understanding, delivery skills and AI collaboration
Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher; recent graduates welcome. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Management, Mathematics or related majors preferred
- No full-time work experience required; internships, coursework, personal or open-source projects are a plus
- Solid computer science fundamentals: data structures, networking, databases, operating systems and software engineering
- At least one backend language, such as Java, Python, Go or Node.js, with basic coding ability
- Frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and familiarity with a common framework such as Vue or React
- Database basics such as MySQL and Redis: able to design simple tables and write SQL
- Familiarity with API development, frontend–backend integration, Git, Linux and deployment workflows
- Familiar with, or eager to master, AI coding tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or Copilot, and able to understand, verify and improve AI-generated code rather than shipping it blindly
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English (you will work daily with our engineering team in China)
Nice to Have
- Projects such as web systems, admin dashboards, mini-programs, AI tools, automation scripts or data processing
- Strong interest in AI-assisted development, full-stack engineering and building business systems
- Curious and hands-on; you explore, learn and solve problems on your own initiative
Benefits
Starting Pay: 80k - 110k depends on experiences, open to negotiation
- 401(k)
- PTO
- Paid Holidays
- Insurance
