Position Summary
This program is an 11-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.
The summer internship program is from May 28 – August 8, 2025.
CVS Health follows a 3 day in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.
Our office locations for this role are Scottsdale, AZ or Hartford, CT or Woonsocket, RI. A housing stipend may be provided, based on eligibility, and interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23.00, with 40 hours per week, July 4th off (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed below.

About the Business Area
Aetna Health Digital aims to transform health and wellness via products that enable consumer self-service and a best-in-class web and mobile app experiences. This team is responsible for Aetna's digital strategy, all digital products, and the development of road map and execution of the roadmap. A key part of this team is to build an integrated platform and underlying products to drive self-service and revolutionize health and wellness.
Aetna Health is taking on a major initiative to expand its capabilities for market differentiation, this effort will include a completely new approach to developing software within Aetna, using the latest design approaches, technologies, and processes.
What you will do
Aetna is seeking an intern interested in the healthcare insurance industry. The goal of this program is to help this individual gain practical experience in a healthcare setting, while learning day-to-day operations in our Digital Product organization.
Skill Development & Hands-on learning
- Facilitate meetings and participate in Agile ceremonies as needed to support to with resolution of blockers or challenges within product delivery
- Be an active participant in the management of Product enablers with backend and client delivery scrum teams
- Gather insight into the Product Development lifecycle through collaborations across teams and organization
- Support Product Managers and Product Owners in coordination activities to ensure delivery of product occurs within defined timelines
- Expand knowledge in competitive analysis in the healthcare space specific to the Product Domains – Health Finances, Interaction and Engagement (Contact Channels, Transactions/Orders)
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.
Required Qualifications

- Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint and Excel)
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience (e.g., student organizations, sports, or work-related projects)
- An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
- Internship or work experience in a related field
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Experience with collaboration tools such as: Confluence, Microsoft Teams, Slack, Rally or Jira
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Thrives in fast paced environment
- Passionate about healthcare and making a difference for our members
- Enjoys collaboration and facilitating conversations between various teams (product, engineering, design, and more)
- Possess an eager learning mindset
Education
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026
- Preferred majors include Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Human Factor/Information Design, Health Information Management or Administration
