We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team on a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and quality assurance, with a passion for improving QA automation tooling, developing robust end-to-end test automation frameworks, and optimising CI/CD tools. This role is integral to our mission of delivering high-quality software products efficiently and reliably.


Key Accountabilities:

  • QA Automation Tooling: Design, develop, and maintain advanced QA automation tools that streamline testing processes and improve the efficiency of our QA operations.
  • Test Automation Frameworks: Build and enhance comprehensive end-to-end test automation frameworks that ensure extensive test coverage and early detection of defects.
  • CI/CD Optimization: Optimise our continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools and pipelines, ensuring smooth, reliable, and efficient software releases.
  • Best Practices Adoption: Work closely with software engineers to promote and integrate testing best practices into the development lifecycle, ensuring a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers on effective testing methodologies, automation strategies, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to test automation and CI/CD pipelines, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless operations.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and operations, to ensure alignment and the highest standards of software quality.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for test automation tools, frameworks, and CI/CD processes to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.


Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: Proven experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or similar role, with a strong focus on automation and CI/CD.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Golang, Java, Python, or C#. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Agility: Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and priorities, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
