Curve is seeking a Data Analyst to join our team and help drive data-led decisions within the organisation. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders and executives to identify opportunities that will delight our customers. 

Your primary focus will be on customer interactions and retention. You will get to make use of Curve’s rich transactional and product data, and overlay it with customer interactions with our support team to get an understanding of what pain points customers face and how we can improve our overall customer experience.

You will report to the Head of Analytics who will assist with career development and guidance. The ideal candidate will have at least one year working experience as a data analyst or commercially focussed role, preferably in a growth-focused company. A background in behavioural science, psychology, economics, mathematics, or statistics is an advantage. Experience with SQL, data warehouse modelling, data pipelines, and data visualisation tools is a plus.

Key Accountabilities:

• Discovery analyses: Proactively identifying discovery opportunities - you understand the business and customer impact of product decisions and know what is or is not important in helping Curve meet its goals.
• Evangelisation: Helping us implement a data-driven mindset in the company by educating others and building self-service reports.

Skills & Experience:

• A passion for data discovery, interpretation and storytelling with experience extracting insights from raw data and converting them into product/business recommendations.
• 2-3 years working experience as a data analyst, preferably in fintech, consumer tech startups, financial services or consultancies.
• A direct communication style - you’re not afraid to ask questions and speak your mind
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing priorities within a very dynamic startup environment.
• Ability to build relationships and maintain trust with various stakeholders across the business.
• Proven track record of using SQL to manipulate and extract data.
• Advantage: First or second class degree in any discipline or a background in behavioural science, psychology, economics, mathematics or statistics
• Advantage: Familiarity with business intelligence and data visualisation tools (ideally Looker).
• Effective and flexible communication skills, including the ability to translate technical detail into business and commercial objectives, and vice versa.
• Ability to write research papers that succinctly summarises the issue and provides recommendations to stakeholders.
• Proven record of taking proactive action based on your own findings and analysis.
