Solution Architect - Senior

Location: Pune, Maharashtra, India

The Solution Architect - Senior is responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing scalable solution architectures aligned with Cummins enterprise architecture strategies, standards, and principles. This role defines application and solution designs for complex systems in partnership with product and project teams, ensuring technical solutions meet business, security, governance, and compliance requirements. The incumbent provides technical leadership in designing end-to-end analytics and AI architectures, including data pipelines, machine learning systems, and enterprise integrations. The role also drives innovation through proof-of-concepts (POCs), evaluates emerging technologies, and ensures architecture decisions create measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and own end-to-end scalable solution architectures for analytics, AI, cloud, and enterprise systems aligned with enterprise standards.
• Define system component architecture, functional allocation, and interfaces between applications, platforms, and infrastructure components.
• Develop multiple solution design options, perform cost-benefit analysis, and recommend optimized architectures based on business and technical requirements.
• Create and maintain reference architectures, reusable design patterns, and architecture building blocks for global adoption.
• Apply enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, styles, technology stacks, and patterns in solution development.
• Drive architectural improvements and influence enterprise technical strategy through collaboration with Principal Solution Architects and engineering teams.
• Architect scalable data pipelines, ML systems, and system integrations to support advanced analytics and AI use cases.
• Analyze complex business processes, governance requirements, and technical constraints to create practical, scalable solutions.
• Lead pilot programs and proof-of-concept initiatives to validate technology capabilities and support innovation.
• Evaluate infrastructure capacity and recommend improvements to support current and future business needs.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with strategic business goals.
• Promote adoption of standard technologies and best practices through strong collaboration with customers, peers, and engineering teams.
• Identify, assess, and manage architecture-related risks and issues while driving mitigation strategies.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, software trends, architecture methodologies, and industry best practices.
